Liverpool moved up to sixth in the Premier League table on Monday night with a 1-0 win over Wolves.

Diogo Jota‘s first-half goal secured three points at Molineux, handing Jurgen Klopp’s men a boost in their hopes of securing Champions League football.

Those prospects were boosted by West Ham’s defeat against Manchester United, whilst Everton also lost to Burnley at home.

Chelsea remain the team to catch in fourth spot, with Thomas Tuchel still unbeaten since taking over at Stamford Bridge at the end of January.

Liverpool have nine games to claw back a five-point deficit on their rivals and with that in mind, here’s a rundown of the fixture lists.

Verdict

Compared to their top-four rivals, Liverpool appear to have the easiest run of fixtures left.

The Reds face only one team in the top eight in their final nine matches, which is away to Manchester United.

By contrast, every other team will play at least three teams in the top eight, which bodes well for Liverpool, with their rivals hypothetically set to drop points.

Leicester City have the worst run in, Manchester City, West Ham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all to follow in the next two months.

Everton have a tough line-up too with four of the top eight still to play, with Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham all up against three.
