It’s been a hectic week for everyone involved with Manchester United.
The European Super League proposal, announced late on Sunday night, has seemingly collapsed with United and the other five rebel Premier League clubs all announcing their intention to withdraw from the closed shop ‘elite’ division.
Joel Glazer has since written an open letter to supporters to try to explain the decision and Ed Woodward resigned as executive vice-chairman of the club amid the backlash. United fans made their feelings clear, though, when protesting at Carrington yesterday.
United fans blocked both entrances to the club’s training ground before the first-team’s session yesterday morning when around 20 fans breached security at the training complex. The unrest continues but United’s clash against Leeds is now just days away.
