United have lost four semi-finals with Solskjaer in the dugout, and while the Red Devils sit second in the Premier League and near-certainties to qualify for next season’s Champions League, the pressure is on to lift silverware.
United have not won a trophy since 2017, when Jose Mourinho led them to glory in this very competition. For all the good work Solskjaer has done at Old Trafford, lifting the Europa League would vindicate his approach.
Solskjaer insists he meant no offence, but Roma boss Paulo Fonseco will surely do what all clever coaches would and look to channel that motivation into a performance at Old Trafford.

Given three injuries to Roma and the penalty delay, it’s no surprise to see five minutes of injury time added on.

As for United, if they can’t make Roma pay with three key players injured in the first half, then that is worrying.
