Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responds to rumours Eric Bailly is refusing to sign new Man Utd deal – Mirror Online
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has addressed speculation over Eric Bailly’s future at the club, with the centre-back’s current contract due to expire in 2022.
Bailly has made just seven Premier League starts so far this season and reports have claimed that the 27-year-old is unhappy with his lack of game time.
When asked about the defender’s future ahead of United’s clash with Burnley on Sunday, Solskjaer said: “Eric has played well when he’s played.
“I know there’s been speculation. We’re talking to him about his contract so I don’t see any issues really.”
Bailly recently tested positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with the Ivory Coast and Solskjaer is hopeful that the player will be available for selection in time for the Burnley game.
