Vaccine passports to be used for Euro 2020 matches at Wembley – The Times

England’s Euro 2020 group matches have been selected to be the first time that vaccine “passports” can be used to gain access to a sporting event in the UK.

Fans attending the matches at Wembley will be required to either show the NHS app confirming that they have received both Covid jabs at least 14 days beforehand, or a negative lateral flow test taken within the previous 48 hours.

There will be 22,500 fans permitted for each of England’s group matches against Croatia, Scotland and the Czech Republic – 25 per cent of Wembley’s capacity – and if the proof-of-vaccine system runs smoothly then it could open the way for larger crowds at the Euro 2020 semi-finals and final, which are also being held at
